Adobe Photoshop This is a link to the web-site of the company that designed Photoshop.

B&W  Converting your color images to black & white can be easily done by selecting the grayscale mode in Photoshop. But the results just don't look as if they were shot on real black & white film... so here is where the DigiDaan Channel Mixtures for Adobe Photoshop come in - its free.

Fred Miranda Actions and filters for PhotoShop. Have a look at this site. It has many actions for PS users including those who use digital cameras. Unfortunately you have to pay for the filters and action files but they are are not too expensive and secure on-line ordering is available via Pay-Pal.

Ilford. The Ilford Imaging site contains information on their range of  ink jet papers as well as their excellent  films and conventional  silver based photographic papers.

Infra-red from B&W. Yet another Infra-red resource. How to get IR effects from B&W images.

Lyson archival ink site. You can also download the ICC profiles for all the Lyson ink, paper and printer combinations. See also the Marutt site.

Photoshop Cafe A free training style web-site on how to use PhotoShop, do web pages and other goodies.

7dayshop.com - sells cheap paper, film, digital cameras,etc.

Ansel Adams - a commercial site based in the US. It specialises in Ansel Adam memorabilia and also modern chemical prints from original negatives. Will take orders over the net, lots of images to look at from other photographers as well.

Apogee Photo Magazine The Internet's Photography Magazine: designed to inform and entertain photographers of all ages and levels everywhere in the world.

BJP Online  British Journal of Photography web-site with loads of photographic links to photo based resources. Excellent and definitely worth having a look.

Carol Tipping - a well known photographer and artist from the North West, England. She interprets themes such as the Pre-Raphaelite painters with modern digital techniques adding her own imagery to the style.

Creative Pro Resources for the professional but useful and interesting to those who aren't!

Heswall Online. This is a local Wirral web-site containing information about the town of Heswall.

Heswall Photographic Society. An excellent club to join if you live on the Wirral.

Marrutt - suppliers of Lyson archival inks for inkjet printers.  They are one of the main suppliers of Lyson inks  and papers in the UK. They are mainly aimed at the professional market but are quite happy to sell to individuals and are quite helpful with queries and reply to emails promptly.

Megapixel This is described on their web-site as a monthly 'still photography magazine and has a good mix of images, reviews etc. worth a look.

Norman Koren An interesting American photographic site.

Permajet - make archival inks for inkjet printers.  These inks can be purchased from Firstcall

PhotoSig -  this is an interesting site devoted to critiquing of images. Its intriguing in that  you can search for images taken on certain films, cameras etc. Not sure how useful this is but......

Scanning B&W negs with a flat bed scanner  with a flat bed scanner using VueScan from http://www.hamrick.com which works with nearly every type of scanner.

Tom Lee Photo - by HPS's Tom Lee, a renowned professional portrait and wedding photographer. Contains some excellent examples of this branch of photography.
